Alamo Drafthouse director of programming for Austin and San Antonio R.J. LaForce previews the December 2019 programming at the Alamo Drafthouse Austin. The Drafthouse celebrates the holidays with screenings, brunches and/or parties for Anna and the Apocalypse, A Christmas Story, Elf, Gremlins, The Grinch, The Holiday, Love Actually, NL’s Christmas Vacation, The Polar Express, and Scrooged. Christmas chillers includes Dial Code Santa Claus, Silent Night, Deadly Night, and the original Black Christmas. The Drafthouse offers It's a Wonderful Life on Christmas Eve and The Apartment on New Year's Eve. In preparation for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, the Drafthouse will hold a Star Wars marathon of all three trilogies on Dec. 18. The Drafthouse also revisits Adam Sandler's Punch-Drunk Love in advance of the release of Uncut Gems.
