Interview:
James Morrison,
writer/director,
"Diverge"
In writer/director James Morrison’s post-apocalyptic chiller Diverge, a survivor of a virus that has killed most of humanity wakes up in a parallel universe weeks before the pandemic begins. Former research scientist Chris Towne receives the opportunity to prevent the pandemic—but it requires working against his parallel universe alter ego and fighting the urge to interact with the past version of his wife. Ivan Sandomire, the composer of James Morrison’s short film Stay True Darling, stars as Chris Towne. Diverge represents James Morrison’s directorial debut. The Other Worlds Austin Film Festival will screen Diverge at 7:30 p.m. Aug. 16 at the Flix Brewhouse with writer/director James Morrison in attendance for a post-screening Q&A.
