Interview:
Scott Martin,
writer/director/star,
"Big Kill"
Written, directed, and costarring Austin native Scott Martin, the western Big Kill finds three men—accountant Jim Andrews (Last Man Standing's Christoph Sanders) and drifters Travis Parker (Clint Hummel) and Jake Logan (Martin)—in search of peace, quiet, and good fortune in an Arizona boomtown. But they arrive in Big Kill to discover the town has fallen under the influence of a corrupting force following the flooding of a local mine. Big Kill costars Jason Patric as The Preacher, a rustler whose actions are at odds with his religious beliefs, and Lou Diamond Phillips as Johnny Kane, the Preacher's sharp-dressed henchman. Big Kill also features cameos by Machete's Danny Trejo and Streets of Fire's Michael Paré. Scott Martin previously directed the World War II action thriller Battle Force, which costar Clint Hummel, and produced Dolph Lindgren's 2016 horror comedy Don't Kill it. Big Kill opened Oct. 19 at the Regal Gateway and the Regal Metropolitan. Scott Martin and Clint Hummel will attend the 7 p.m. Oct. 19 showing at the Regal Gateway and participate in a post-screening Q&A.
