"Game of Aces"
In the World War I drama Game of Aces, Austin resident Chris Klein stars as an American pilot ordered by the British military to find a German pilot who has crash landed in the Arabian Desert. He’s joined by Victoria Summer’s English nurse as his German translator. Klein and Summer quickly realize that battling the harsh desert conditions is going to be least of their problems. Directed by Damien Lay, Game of Aces opened Sept. 2 at the Cinemark Southpark Meadows. Chris Klein, who serves as one of Game of Aces’ producers, followed up his 1999 film debut in Alexander Payne’s Election with American Pie and its first sequel, American Pie 2. He also starred in Here on Earth, Say It Isn’t So, Rollerball, We Were Soldiers, The United States of Leland, Just Friends, American Dreamz, and Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li. He returned to the American Pie franchise in 2012 with American Reunion. He most recently enjoyed a recurring role in Elijah Wood’s FX sitcom Wilfred.
