Interview:
James Ward Byrkit,
writer/director,
"Coherence"
Chances are you have not attended a dinner party as strange or as lively as the one that takes place in writer/director Jim Ward Byrkit’s Coherence. This Twilight Zone-ish mind-bender focuses on the events that occur during the night a comet passes by Earth and force the dinner guests to question reality as they know it. Coherence opens July 11 in Austin after winning the New Wave Best Screenplay award at last year's Fantastic Fest. Writer/director Jim Ward Byrkit made his feature film debut with Coherence after directing 2001 TV movie Stop at Nothing and several short films. He also has worked as a storyboard artist, most notably for the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise, and wrote the story for Rango with director Gore Verbinski.
