![]() Written and directed by UT alumna Shana Feste, the semi-biographical road trip dramedy Boundaries pairs Christopher Plummer and Vera Farmiga as estranged father and daughter Jack and Laura, respectively. Jack and Laura are forced to spend several days together on the road when small-time pot dealer Jack is kicked out of his retirement home and Laura agrees to drive him to her sister’s home in L.A., where is to stay for the foreseeable future. Jack, Laura and Henry are joined on the road by a number of stray dogs that animal lover Laura picks up en route to L.A. Boundaries premiered locally during this year’s SXSW Film Festival and opened July 13 in Austin. Shana Feste, who studied screenwriting at the University of Texas, previously wrote and directed The Greatest, Country Strong, and the 2014 remake of Endless Love. She will next write and direct the Blumhouse thriller Run Sweetheart Run.
