editor,
"The Pale Door"
Greg MacLennan once assembled movie montages for the Alamo Drafthouse in his capacity as a programmer and Head of Video. Now he is the editor of a horror film that played Austin theaters this past summer. MacLennan makes his debut as a film editor with The Pale Door, a western horror yarn directed by the Austin-based Aaron B. Koontz. MacLennan even makes a memorable cameo appearance inThe Pale Door, which pits a gang of outlaws against a coven of witches. The outlaws seek refuge at a brothel following a train robbery gone awry. But the brothel workers have more on their minds than providing pleasure for payment. They want blood. The Pale Door is available on Blu-Ray and DVD as well as for PVOD viewing. Greg MacLennan is the founder of the Austin-based Electric Owl Creative, which specializes in trailer editing and cutdowns, custom videos, sound mixing, and home video extras, among other services. After working at the Alamo Drafthouse, MacLennan served as A/V creative director at both Drafthouse Films and Neon Films.
