Interview:
Mickey Keating,
writer/director,
"Darling"
Darling, writer/director Mickey Keating's follow-up to his 2015 SXSW Film Festival entry POD, pays tribute to the horror films of Roman Polanski (Repulsion, Rosemary's Baby, The Tenant). POD's Lauren Ashley Carter plays Darling, a young woman who lands a job as the caretaker of an eerie New York house. Darling soon becomes preoccupied with the previous caretaker, who jumped to her death. She also finds herself obsessed with a stranger (POD costar Brian Morvant) after he shows her some kindness. Darling premiered locally during last year's Fantastic Fest and opened April 15 in Austin. Lights Camera Austin spoke with Keating, Morvant, and producer Jenn Wexler during Fantastic Fest.
