Austin Revolution Film Festival
The Austin Revolution Film Festival will run Sept. 20-24 at various venues, including the Alamo Drafthouse Slaughter Lane, DoubleTree Austin and the Blue Starlite Mini Urban Drive-In. Devoted to independent cinema, the festival features 26 narrative features, including Trippin’ to the Altar by Austin director David Reyes. Austin Revolution Film Festival organizer James Christopher also will screen his new film, the drama DisAssociationville, at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 23 at the DoubleTree Austin’s Carlo Rodriguez Theater. DisAssociationville focuses on a twentysomething writer who must return to his West Texas hometown when his mother dies and is then forced to confront the friends and family he left behind.
