February 2022 Programming
The Austin Film Society's February 2022 programming includes two major series: the Akira Kurosawa series Kurosawa Noir, featuring 35mm screenings of Drunken Angel, Stray Dog, and High and Low, and the Valentine's Day-timed Love Month, featuring Trouble in Paradise, Happy Together, A Man and a Woman, and Jamón Jamón. The AFS also wraps up its Works By Bill Morrison series with The Miners' Hymn and The Village Detective: A Song Cycle. A new regular LGBTQ+-themed program, Cruising The Movies: Queer Cinema Lost & Found, debuts in February 2022 with director William Friedkin's controversial 1980 thriller Cruising. Also, Everything is Terrible! makes a stop at the AFS Cinema with its decidedly R-rated live show Kidz Klub Tour Live!
