Interview:
Garth Davis,
co-writer/director,
"Foe"
Directed by Garth Davis from a script he co-wrote with author Ian Reid, the sci-fi three-hander Foe is set in a near-future United States that’s on the brink of a climate disaster. Junior receives notification that he must leave his farm to work the crops being grown on a space station orbiting Earth. To mitigate Junior’s absence, the OuterMore Corporation creates a biomechanical version of Junior to help his wife Henrietta on the farm. To complete the robot’s programming, OuterMore executive Terence moves into the farmhouse to observe Junior and Henrietta’s relationship at both its best and its worst. But Terrance’s presence only heightens the tension between the married couple. Foe stars Paul Mescal as Junior, Saoirse Ronan as Henrietta, and Aaron Pierre as Terrance. Foe, which opened Oct. 13 in Austin, is now available for digital and VOD viewing.
