Interview:
Jason R. Miller,
co-writer/director,
"Madelines"
What would you do if you found yourself face to face with multiple versions of a loved one? In the Other Worlds Film Festival opening night black comedy Madelines, you must kill each and every one of them without mercy. Directed by Jason R. Miller, Madelines finds married scientists Madeline (Lucky’s Brea Grant) and Owen (General Hospital’s Parry Shen) dabbling with time travel. But their experiments inadvertently create a time loop that allows a future version of Madeline to travel back to the present on a daily basis. This leaves Madeline and Owen with no choice but to spend each day killing a future Madeline in order to preserve the spacetime continuum. Only matters become complicated when one future Madeline survives the attempt on her life. Former Austinite Brea Grant cowrote Madelines with director Jason R. Miller. Madelines is available to watch online at Eventive through Dec. 12 during this year’s hybrid Other Worlds Film Festival. Jason R. Miller previously directed Bloodhound and Unidentified, which also starred Parry Shen. Miller co-produced director Adam Green’s Frozen and Hatchet II and produced the horror anthology Chillerama. Miller also provided visual effects for such films as The Barrens, Beyond the Gates, Contracted: Phase II, Grace, and Jiu Jitsu through his production house Bossk VFX.
