"The Lodger" live score
The Paramount Theatre’s Summer Classic Film series concludes its Hitchcock Week at 3 p.m. Aug. 27 with a screening of the director’s 1927 silent film The Lodger with an original live score composed and performed by Graham Reynolds. The thriller stars Ivor Novello as a mysterious new tenant who arouses the suspicions of his landlady. Austin-based musician/composer Graham Reynolds previously composed and performed an original live score for the 1927 Best Picture winner Wings. Reynolds also composed the scores for Gretchen, I’ll Come Running, Holy Hell, 5-Time Champion, Far Marfa, Trash Dance, All is Bright, Richard Linklater: dream is destiny, The Secret Life of Lance Letscher, and the Rooster Teeth online series Day 5. The Austin-based musician/composer will next provide the score for the upcoming Last Flag Flying, which represents his latest collaboration with director Richard Linklater.
