Directed by Todd Sansom, the documentary The Commissioner of Powerchronicles the life and career of Austin-born powerlifter, physical culture innovator, coach, author, and academic Terry Todd. Along with his wife Jan Todd, also a powerlifter, Todd founded the H.J. Lutcher Stark Center for Physical Culture and Sports at the University of Texas. Todd, who died in 2018, earned his nickname the Commissioner of Power for his contributions to physical culture. Todd Sansom previously directed the documentaries Fullsterkur and Stoneland.
