Austin Revolution Film Festival
Formerly known as the Austin Indie Flicks Showcase, the Austin Revolution Film Festival will run Sept. 23-26 at various venues, including the Blue Starlite Mini Urban Drive-In and the Alamo Drafthouse Slaughter Lane. Devoted to independent cinema, the festival features 18 narrative features, including Behind the Nose by Austin director Brittany Flurry. The festival kicks off Sept. 23 with the Texas Forever Block, featuring Sweethearts of the Girdiron, the short film #RIP, and an episode of the web series #ATown. Austin Revolution Film Festival organizer James Christopher also will screen his new film, the mockumentary slasher spoof Quad-X: The Porn Movie Massacre.
