An expansion of the 2012 short comedy of the same name, Austin-based writer/director Clay Liford's Slash follows the trials and tribulations of Neil (Michael Johnston) a lonely high school student who writes fan fic as a mean to address his sexual confusion. His social life enjoys an upswing when he finds a kindred spirit in Julia (Hannah Marks). Together, they head to Houston for a comic convention that will change their lives. Slash also stars Michael Ian Black, Missy Pyle and Angela Kinsey. Slash will screen during the SXSW Film Festival at 4:15 p.m. March 13 at at the Topfer Theatre at ZACH, 5:15 p.m. March 14 at the Marchesa Hall & Theatre, 7:45 p.m. March 15 at the Alamo South Lamar, and 11 am March 19 at the Topfer Theatre at ZACH.
