2022 Austin Polish Film Festival
The Austin Polish Film Festival runs Oct. 28-30 and Nov. 4-6 at the AFS Cinema. The festival opens Oct. 28 with the crime thriller Lullaby Killer, with director Krzysztof Lang in attendance, and closes Nov. 6 with Bodo, a biography of the Polish actor Eugeniusz Bodo. The festival also includes the narrative features Back Then, Black Sheep, For a Moment, Forever, Love is Nearby, Marusarz: Tatra Eagle, and Sonata. Documentary features include Chopin: I Am Not Afraid, Long Day Tomorrow, and Maryla: That’s How I Love. The festival’s poster exhibition, running Oct. 21-Nov. 6 at Ao5 Gallery, which highlight the work of artist Leszek Zebrowski, the subject of the documentary Condemned to Poster Work. The festival will also co-present March ’68, directed by Lullaby Killer’s Krzysztof Lang, on Nov. 12 during the Austin Jewish Film Festival at the Shalom Austin Performance Center.
