Interview: Scott P. Harris,
director, "Being Ginger"
If blondes have more fun, does this mean for redheads? Director Scott P. Harris’ documentary Being Ginger offers a personal look at the emotional and psychological baggage that he’s had to carry through life as a result of being born with red hair. Being Ginger initially finds Harris searching for a girlfriend who can look past his red hair, freckles, and pale skin, but he quickly turns the camera on himself as a means to come to terms with being among the 1 percent of the population who was born with red hair. The University of Texas Radio Televison and Film alum made the documentary while studying film at the University of Edinburgh in Scotland. Being Ginger is available for online viewing.
