Austin 48 Hour Film Project
The Austin 48 Hour Film Project is an annual movie-making contest that requires its participants to make a short over the course of a single weekend. Almost 40 teams of experienced and amateur filmmakers competed in this year's contest, which was held May 31-June 2. Contestants had to include the following required elements in their films: the character of Doctor Ryan or Rihanna Grenada; the prop of a belt eraser; and the line, “"And who the hell are you?” or “And who the heck are you?” This year’s Austin 48 Hour Film Project Best of Screening will be held 7 p.m. July 14 at the AFS Cinema. Participating filmmakers included Sheila Victoria Anne and Rick Gonzalez. Sheila Victoria Anne served as the Team Leader for Lava Productions, which made the musical Camp Grenada for the contest. Rick Gonzalez served as the Team Leader for Gorillaman Productions, which made the mockumentary Brawl for the contest. Sheila Victoria Anne and Rick Gonzalez joined Austin 48 Hour Film Project contest producer Alyne Harding during this interview.
