Interview:
Charlotte Moore,
director,
"Black Bodies"
Directed by Charlotte Moore, Black Bodies asks what it means to be black in both Austin and the United States. Sixteen Austinites—including Austin City Council member Ora Houston and State District Judge Lora Livingston—share their experiences and provide their views and insights on racial disparity, colorism, and identity politics. Black Bodies will screen 4 p.m. March 24 at the Alamo Drafthouse Mueller. Charlotte Moore comes from a journalism background: she was a newspaper reporter for the Austin American-Statesman and The Atlanta Journal-Constitution and a television news producer for KEYE TV CBS Austin. She now runs the full-service, multimedia company Moore Media, which produces promotional videos for businesses and nonprofits. Charlotte Moore also hosts the web series “Brainstorm Black,” which posts every 7 p.m. Thursdays on YouTube and Facebook.
