Louisiana Kreutz,
writer/director,
"Quaker Oaths"
![]() In writer/director Louisiana Kreutz’s Austin-shot anti-romcom Quaker Oaths, separated couple Joe (Arlo & Julie’s Alex Dobrenko) and Emily (Fede Rangel) undertake a road trip in order to tie up some loose ends before filing for divorce. At the insistence of Emily’s Quaker parents, Joe and Emily must justify their decision to divorce to each guest who attended their wedding and ask them to cross off their name from their Quaker marriage certificate. Things get emotionally complicated when Emily’s unicycle football player boyfriend Mikey (Pete Dahlberg) joins them midway through the road trip. Louisiana Kreutz previously directed the 2014 documentary 61 Bullets and produced the 2009 documentary Sweethearts of the Prison Rodeo. Quaker Oaths will screen 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 15 at the Rollins Theatre and 7 pm. Tuesday, Oct. 18 at the State Theatre during the Austin Film Festival.
