The Capital City Black Film Festival runs Aug. 25-28 at the Austin Convention Center. The festival includes screenings of the narrative features Day Dreams & Weird Facts, Jericho, Last Night of the Year, Sleeper, The Writer’s Block, and Til Love Comes as well as the documentaries Walk With Me and Zydeco Breakfast. Guests include actor/writer/producer Miguel A. Núñez Jr. of Juwanna Mann and Kickin’ It Old Skool fame, #OscarsSoWhite creator April Reign, and Stay Woke: The Black Lives Matter Movement director Laurens Grant.
