Interview:
Writer/director Zak Hilditch,
Molly Parker and Thomas Jane,
"1922"
In writer/director Zak Hilditch adaptation of the Stephen King novella 1922, Thomas Jane stars as a former Nebraska farmer who reflects years later on the events that led up to and occurred after he murdered his estranged wife (Molly Parker). The film also focuses on Jane’s difficult relationship with his son (Dylan Schmid) both before and after Parker's murder. 1922 follows Gerald’s Game as the second of two Netflix originals based on a story by Stephen King. Zak Hilditch previously directed the Australia pre-apocalyptic thriller These Final Hours. Thomas Jane starred in the Stephen King adaptations Dreamcatcher and The Mist as well as Boogie Nights, Deep Blue Sea, Magnolia, The Punisher, and Before I Wake, which just debuted on Netflix. Molly Parker’s relationship began with House of Cards, continued with last year’s thriller Small Crimes, and will extend to the upcoming reboot of the classic TV series Lost in Space.
