Interview:
William Eubank,
writer/director,
"The Signal"
In writer/director William Eubank’s The Signal, a road trip ends in three friends (Brenton Thwaites, Olivia Cooke, and Beau Knapp) being held captive in a military research facility under the command of Laurence Fishburne’s scientist Damon. The friends don’t remember the events leading up to confinement. Their last shared memory is of a terrifying event at an isolated area where they had hoped to confront the computer hacker who had been taunting them during their road trip. Writer/director William Eubank previously directed the Fantastic Fest entry Love, a sci-fi drama that featured the music of the rock band Angels & Airwaves. The Signal opened June 13 in Austin.
