Oscar-nominated editor Sandra Adair finally makes her directorial debut after almost 25 years of editing the films of director Richard Linklater. The documentary The Secret Life of Lance Letscher, which will receive its world premiere during this year’s SXSW Film Festival, examines the life and work of the Austin-based collage artist. The Austin-based Sandra Adair has edited every Richard Linklater-directed film since 1993’s Dazed and Confused, and she received an Oscar nomination for Best Film Editing for Linklater’s 2014 drama Boyhood. The Secret Life of Lance Letscher will screen during the SXSW Film Festival at 11:15 a.m. March 12 at the Alamo Ritz, 5 p.m. March 13 at the Alamo South Lamar, and 9:30 p.m. March 15 at the Alamo South Lamar.
