The new Austin Film Festival book “On Story - Screenwriters and Filmmakers on their Iconic Films” offers transcriptions of interviews, post-screening Q&As and panel discussions held during the first 20 years of the festival with such attendees as Shane Black, Jonathan Demme, Paul Feig, Ron Howard, Sydney Pollack, Harold Ramis and Oliver Stone. The book is edited by Barbara Morgan, the co-founder and executive director of the Austin Film Festival, and Maya Perez, producer of the PBS series Austin Film Festival's On-Story. Frequent festival guest James Franco wrote the foreword. The book is published by the University of Texas Press. Book editors Barbara Morgan and Maya Perez will participate in an “On Story” panel and book signing at 11 a.m. Nov. 6 at the Capitol Extension Room E2.016 during the Texas Book Festival.
