![]() Directed by Richeler Aladin, the Austin-shot sci-fi conspiracy thriller Evinced finds the two present-day dominant political parties covertly joining forces to effectively turn the United States into an autocracy. Enter The Prodigal Auger, a social media phenomenon whose correct predictions of future events and crimes threaten the plans of the politician handpicked by the Activists Party and the Freedom Party to become the next president of the United States. The Prodigal Auger’s dangerous predictions quickly prompts an investigation led by two police officers at odds over the intent and influence of their quarry, jaded veteran Malcolm (Ervin Brown) and wide-eyed rookie Wesley (Bradley Opara). Meanwhile, Wesley’s wife Ava (Rachel Webb), an up-and-coming news reporter for a clickbait website, places her life in jeopardy as she starts to dig deeper and deeper into the Prodigal Auger’s motives and mysterious past.
