Paramount Summer Classic Film Series
As per tradition, the Paramount Summer Classic Film Series begins May 25 with Casablanca and closes Sept. 2 with Gone with the Wind. The opening weekend also includes anniversary screenings of Titanic, Bonnie & Clyde and Badlands along with a live recording of the of How Did This Get Made? on May 27. The series, which will be held at both the Paramount and the Stateside, includes three films tied to the Archives of the Harry Ransom Center, a special screening of My Cousin Vinny with screenwriter Dale Launer in attendance, a program celebrating the work of the late, great cinematographer Gordon Willis, and a screening of The Lodger with a live score by Graham Reynolds during Hitchcock Week. There also will be a family film festival, a 70mm week, and programs devoted to Dustin Hoffman, Peter Sellers, women at work, the judicial system, political satires and dramas, foreign films, silent films, and films about the making of films.
