Born out of a rejected pitch for a Silent Night, Deadly Night remake, writer/director Joe Begos’ Christmas Bloody Christmas reimagines The Terminator as a robot Santa Claus that delivers death and destruction instead of toys and gifts. Made from decommissioned military technology, the seemingly harmless store attraction malfunctions and embarks on a Christmas Eve killing spree. Targeted for termination: Tori Tooms (Riley Dandy) and Robbie Reynolds (Sam Delich), friends and work colleagues who cross paths with the robot as it turns a small town into a war zone. Christmas Bloody Christmas opens Dec. 9 in Austin and will also be available Dec. 9 to stream on Shudder. Joe Begos previously directed VFW, Bliss, The Mind’s Eye, and Almost Human.
