"Prisoner X"
In writer/director Gaurav Seth’s post-9/11 sci-fi chiller Prisoner X, the arrival in 2002 of a time traveler from the future—who is intent on destroying Western culture—forces the United States to escalate its war on terror. Fifteen years later, the terrorist, Ramiro (Romano Orzari), remains confined in a prison, his secrets locked away with him. It’s down to CIA Agent Carmen Reese (Michelle Nolden) to use any means necessary to extract from the terrorist the information that is required to prevent global destruction. Other Worlds Austin will screen Prisoner X at 9 p.m. June 23 at the Flix Brewhouse with writer/director Gaurav Seth in attendance. Gaurav Seth, who adapted Prisoner X from the novel by Robert Reed, previously directed A Passage to Ottawa and Sweet Destiny.
