Interview:
Matt Johnson,
star/writer/director,
"Operation Avalanche"
One small step for man, one giant leap for conspiracy theorists? Writer/director Matt Johnson’s found-footage thriller Operation Avalanche follows a ragtag group of CIA agents on a mission to fake the 1969 Apollo 11 moon landing. But their bid to ensure the United States does not fall behind the Soviet Union during the Space Race puts them in constant danger. Matt Johnson (left) previously directed the 2013 high school drama The Dirties, which was also produced by Operation Avalanche's Matt Miller (right). Johnson plays one of the CIA agents in Operation Avalanche who undertake the arduous task of shooting the footage needed to dupe the entire world. Operation Avalanche opened Sept. 30 in Austin. Producer Matt Miller joins Matt Johnson during this interview. Aired: Sept. 29, 2016 Web sites: http://www.operationavalanche-movie.com and https://www.facebook.com/OperationAvalanche/ |
