Interview:
Patrick Bresnan,
co-director,
"Roadside Attraction"
Love or loathe President Donald Trump, there’s no doubt that he has the ability to stop traffic whenever he visits his Mar-a-Lago Club in Palm Beach, Florida. Directed by the Austin-based married couple Patrick Bresnan and Ivette Lucas, the SXSW Film Festival observational documentary Roadside Attraction captures the hullabaloo that surrounds Air Force One whenever it is parked at Palm Beach International Airport in plain sight from the busy Southern Boulevard in West Palm Beach. Roadside Attraction will screen during the SXSW Film Festival at 2 p.m. March 10 at the Rollins Theatre at the Long Center, 3 p.m. March 12 at the Alamo South Lamar, and 7:15 p.m. March 15 at the Alamo South Lamar as part of the Documentary Shorts Competition program. The Austin-based Patrick Bresnan previously co-directed The Send-Off with his wife, Ivette Lucas, and directed The Rabbit Hunt, the winner of last year’s SXSW Texas Short Grand Jury prize. Patrick Bresnan and Ivette Lucas are currently working on the documentary Pahokee, which is due in 2019.
