Directed by the Austin-based Aaron B. Koontz, the short drama Honor Student details another day in the ordinary life of a middle-aged woman played by Peggy Schott. Or so she believes it is. Honor Student will screen as part of a shorts block at 10:15 a.m. April 29 during the Hill Country Film Festival in Fredericksburg. Aaron B. Koontz also directed the short films Malevolence, El Chupugcabra, and Aperture. He also was an executive producer of the psychosexual horror film Starry Eyes, which played the SXSW Film Festival in 2014. He is currently working on his feature-length directorial debut, Camera Obscura.
