"Lucky Doug"
The power of manifestation is put to the test in the Austin-shot comedy Lucky Doug when a cat food salesperson decides he wants to be a millionaire. But the hopelessly naïve Doug quickly learns that amassing wealth beyond his imagination requires more than positive thinking. He needs a good idea. So he turns to his mentor, former billionaire LazerPete Dimebags, for inspiration. Lucky Doug stars co-writer Doug Heinz (Night on Sixth and Ultimate World) as Doug and Zach Desutter as LazerPete Dimebags. Co-writer Phoebe Raileanu co-stars as Doug’s wife Sophie, who enjoys her own unexpected success after acting as a Good Samaritan. Lucky Doug is available to stream Feb. 3-13 during the San Francisco Independent Film Festival. Eric Alan Rousseau makes his directorial debut with Lucky Doug. Co-writer Nathaniel Hendricks co-directed the upcoming Austin-shot comedy Ultimate World. Aired: Jan. 27, 2022.
