Coinciding with the release of the documentary De Palma, the Alamo Drafthouse series “The Films of Brian De Palma” serves as a career-spanning retrospective of the director who deservedly inherited the title of master of suspense from Alfred Hitchcock. The series begins Monday, June 13 with Sisters at the Alamo Drafthouse Ritz continues with Phantom of the Paradise, Obsession, Carrie, The Fury, Dressed to Kill, Blow Out, Scarface, The Untouchables, Body Double, Raising Cain, and Carlito’s Way, and ends through July 20 with Femme Fatale. Directed by Noah Baumbach and Jake Paltrow, the documentary De Palma opens June 24 at the Alamo South Lamar. "The Films of Brian De Palma" is programmed by Alamo Drafthouse Austin programmer Tommy Swenson.
