![]() Based on the unpublished memoirs of its star Arielle Holmes, the gritty drama Heaven Knows What follows the trials and tribulations of a homeless heroin user in New York City. Holmes’ Harley not only must contend with her addiction but with destructive relationship with her boyfriend Ilya (Caleb Landry Jones of X-Men: First Class and the Friday Night Lights TV series). Directed by Ben Safdie and Joshua Safdie, Heaven Knows What premiered during last year’s SXSW Film Festival and is now available on DVD. It is nominated for two Film Independent Spirit Awards, including the John Cassavetes Award for Best Feature Made for Under $500,000.
