Co-written by the Austin-based Greg Kwedar, the horse-racing drama Jockey focuses on a veteran jockey struggling to overcome the injuries that threaten to end his career. In addition, Jackson Silva (Clifton Collins Jr.) must contend with the arrival of Gabriel Boullait (The Kings of Summers and The King of Staten Island's Moises Arias), an up-and-coming jockey who claims to be Jackson's son. The cast also includes Molly Parker as horse trainer Ruth Wilkes. Directed by the Dallas-based Clint Bentley, Jockey premiered locally during last year’s Austin Film Festival and opens Feb. 11 in Austin. Jockey co-writer Greg Kwedar previously directed the 2016 thriller Transpeco, which he wrote with Clint Bentley and starred Clifton Collins Jr. Aired: Feb. 3, 2022.
