Austin 48 Hour Film Project
Produced by Team Charlotte Corday, the Austin 48 Hour Film Project entry The Wilting focuses on a detective who is haunted by a murder case he desperately wants to solve. The Austin 48 Hour Film Project is an annual movie-making contest that requires its participants to make a short over the course of a single weekend. Forty-two local teams competed in this year’s contest, which was held June 10-12. The Wilting is among the nominated entries that will screen 5 p.m. July 31 at the Southwest Lake Creek Discount Theater as part of the 2016 Austin 48 Hour Film Project Awards & Best Of Screening. The Wilting is nominated for Best Directing, Best Actor (T.C. Johnson as Det. Cody Johnson) Best Set Design, Best Cinematography (Melissa Cha), and Best Use of Genre (Detective/Cop).
