"Last Girl Standing"

Most slasher films end with the final girl facing off against the masked madman who has already slaughtered her friends and colleagues in an isolated location, such as a summer camp. But the Austin-shot Last Girl Standing begins with the final girl killing the ritualistic serial killer known as “The Hunter” and then picks up five years later to examine the psychological damage inflicted upon the massacre’s sole survivor. Akasha Villalobos stars in the final girl, Camryn. Last Girl Standing marks the directorial debut of the Austin-based Benjamin R. Moody, who previously made 20 short films with his wife Rachel though their Blue Goggles Films.
