Director Jennifer Harlow’s Austin-shot supernatural drama The Sideways Light stars Lindsay Burdge as Lily, who returns to her childhood home to care for her ailing mother (Annalee Jefferies). While Lily grapples with the new responsibilities she reluctantly accepts, she notices strange things happening in the house that may be connected to her mother. The Sideways Lights marks the directorial debut of actress Jennifer Harlow, who also wrote the screenplay for the 2009 thriller Possession. Lindsay Burdge starred in last year’s A Teacher, the Austin-shot drama that screened during last year’s SXSW Film Festival. The Sideways Light will screen 7:30 p.m. Oct. 23 at the Bullock Museum IMAX Theatre and 10:30 p.m. Oct. 26 at the Alamo Drafthouse Village during the Austin Film Festival. Lindsay Burdge joins director Jennifer Harlow during this interview.
