"Lucky"
In Lucky, the eponymous senior played by Harry Dean Stanton lives one day to the next without worrying his age or his health. But a fall prompts Lucky to question his mortality for the first time in his long life. Directed by actor John Carroll Lynch, Lucky costars David Lynch, Ron Livingston, Ed Begley Jr., Beth Grant and Barry Shabaka Henley, and features a reunion between Stanton and his Alien costar Tom Skerritt. Lucky will screen during the SXSW Film Festival at 3 p.m. March 18 at the Alamo South Lamar. Lucky marks the directorial debut of John Carroll Lynch, who has appeared in such films as The Founder, The Invitation, Shutter Island and Zodiac.
