"Gone in the Night"
Co-written and directed by Eli Horowitz, the intergenerational thriller Gone in the Night finds Winona Ryder’s Gen Xer Kath playing amateur detective when her millennial boyfriend Max (John Gallagher Jr.) ghosts her after their weekend getaway to a remote rental cabin. Kath’s investigation begins with the mysterious Gen Z couple that she and Max unexpectedly met at the cabin on the night before Max’s disappearance. Gone in the Night also stars Brianne Tju and Owen Teague as Greta and Al, respectively. Winona Ryder’s How to Make an American Quilt costar Dermot Mulroney also appears as cabin owner Barlow, who lends Kath a helping hand with her inquiries. Gone in the Night, which premiered during this year’s SXSW Film Festival under its previous title The Cow, is now available for digital and on-demand viewing. Gone in the Night co-writer/director Eli Horowitz co-created the Prime Video series Homecoming, which he adapted from his scripted podcast of the same name. Aired: Aug. 2, 2022.
