Indie Meme Film Festival
Dedicated to bringing the best in South Asian cinema to Austin, this year’s Indie Meme Film Festival offers in-person programming running April 14-17 at the AFS Cinema and virtual programming from April 22-24. The film festival opens at 7 p.m. April 14 with a shorts program “It’s the End of the World, and I feel Fine” and continues April 15 with the Texas premiere of the drama Last Film Show with director Pan Nalin in attendance. The documentary Midwives and the narrative features Barah x Barah (12 x 12), Rehana, and RK/RKAY will screen April 16. The festival closes April 17 with the shorts program “Locals and Long-Distance,” the documentary A Night of Knowing Nothing, and the narrative features Any Day Now, Pebbles, and the Best International Feature Oscar nominee Lunana: A Yak In The Classroom. The Indie Meme Film Festival’s virtual programming running from April 22-24, includes Any Day Now, Barah x Barah (12 x 12), A Night of Knowing Nothing, Peebles, and RK/RKAY as well as the online exclusives Biriyanni, I am Belmaya, and Not Today.
