Other Worlds Flux Capacitor Mini-Fest
In celebration of its newly acquired nonprofit status, the Other Worlds Film Festival travels back in time to present a mini-fest that celebrates its first six years of bringing sci-fi and horror films to Austin audiences. The Other Worlds Flux Capacitor Mini-Fest, which will stream Sept. 18-20, features one film chosen to represent each of the festival’s past six editions. Live filmmaker Q&As will be conducted after the time-specific virtual screenings of Perfect 46 (2014), House of Time (2015), Virtual Revolution (2016), Restoration (2017), The Wrong Todd (2018), and Lake Michigan Monster (2019). The Other Worlds Film Festival also recently launched its virtual Pioneer Sci-Fi Film Club; the next meeting will be held 7:30 p.m. Sept. 17 to discuss the 1975 film Footprints on the Moon. FYI, this year’s Other Worlds Film Festival will be held virtually from Dec. 3-6.
