Interview:
Lou Ferrigno,
Austin Comic Con
A two-time Mr. Universe, bodybuilder Lou Ferrigno rose to international fame as Dr. David Bruce Banner’s green-skinned, muscle-bound alter ego in the TV show The Incredible Hulk, which ran on CBS from 1978 through 1982. When The Incredible Hulk ended, Ferrigno went on to make Hercules and its sequel The Adventures of Hercules, Sinbad of the Seven Seas, and two Cage films. He also made guest appearances as himself in The King of Queens and most recently competed on Celebrity Apprentice. While The Incredible Hulk went off the air 31 years ago, Ferrigno continues to be associated with one of the most popular Marvel superheroes. He reunited with Bill Bixby for three Hulk TV movies, lent his voice to the 1997 Incredible Hulk animated series, and made cameo appearances in the films Hulk, The Incredible Hulk, and The Avengers. Lou Ferrigno will appear Nov. 22-24 at the Austin Comic Con, which will be held at the Austin Convention Center.
