writer/director,
"My Entire High School
Sinking Into the Sea"
Comic-book creator/graphic novelist and artist Dash Shaw ("Love Eats Brains," "GardenHead," "Bottomless Belly Button") makes his feature-length directorial debut with the animated comedy My Entire High School Sinking Into the Sea. Jason Schwartzman voices Tides High sophomore Dash, who finds himself alone and alienated when his best friend Assaf (Reggie Watt) dates Verti (Maya Rudolph), their editor at the high school newspaper. Disaster strikes when an earthquake hits California and Tides High slides into the sea. This forces the trio of friends to work through their issues so they can survive a watery death. The voice cast also includes Lena Dunham, Susan Sarandon and John Cameron Mitchell, who co-wrote the Sigur Rios music video Seraph with director Dash Shaw. My Entire High School Sinking Into the Sea will screen 8:20 p.m. Sept. 28 at the Alamo South Lamar during Fantastic Fest.
