"Little Bites"
![]() Directed by Powerman 5000 frontman-turned-filmmaker Spider One, and starring, produced, and edited by his life and creative partner Krsy Fox, the metaphorical chiller Little Bites focuses on the codependent relationship between Fox's widow Mindy and an ancient vampire known as Agyar (Jon Sklaroff). Mindy remains desperate to reunite with her preteen daughter Alice, whom she has sent to live with her mother, but remains fearful of Agyar's plans for Alice if and when she returns home. Physically battered and emotionally drained by Agyar's constant feeding on her, Mindy plots to bring home strangers to satisfy the bloodsucker's growing hunger. But things get more complicated when Alice's absence becomes a concern for a child welfare officer (horror icon Barbara Crampton). Little Bites also stars Chaz Bono, A Nightmare on Elm Street's Heather Langenkamp, and The Conjuring Universe's Bonnie Aarons. Little Bites, which premiered locally during this year's Fantastic Fest, opened Oct. 4 in theaters and is also available for digital/VOD viewing. Spider One previously directed the 2022 horror anthology Allegoria and the 2023 vampire thriller Bury the Bride, which both starred Krsy Fox. A singer and songwriter in her own right, Fox appeared in Underworld: Evolution and In the Land of Women. She also directed Frank and I Live Alone. Fox will next be seen in the Fantastic Fest entry Terrifier 3, which opens Oct. 11.
