"Apartment 7A"
A prequel to Roman Polanski's Rosemary's Baby, Apartment 7A puts front and center one of the minor characters from the classic 1968 supernatural thriller that Mia Farrow's Rosemary Woodhouse crosses paths at the Bramford apartment building. Struggling to revive her Broadway career following an ankle injury, dancer and performer Terry Gionoffrio (Julia Garner) finds herself homeless and addicted to painkillers. Minnie and Alan Castevet (Diane Wiest and Kevin McNally, respectively) take pity on Terry and invite her to live rent free in the second apartment they own in the Bramford. And not only does esteemed Broadway producer Alan Marchand (Jim Sturgess) live in the Bramford but he knows the Castevets and is willing to take a chance on casting Terry in his new musical. Just when Terry believes her luck has changed she learns she is pregnant. And every Bramford resident seems overly concerned about her well-being. Directed by Relic's Natalie Erika James, and co-written by Skylar James and Christian White, Apartment 7A premiered locally at this year's Fantastic Fest and debuted Sept. 27 on Paramount+. Christian White previously co-wrote Relic with Natalie Erika James.
