![]() In a world full of potential victims, serial killer Tucker (Jai Courtney) thinks and behaves like a shark. So much so that the Australian apex predator employs sharks to toy with the kidnapped tourists he holds captive on his fishing boat. Directed by Sean Byrne, the Australian ocean-set thriller Dangerous Animals finds Tucker engaged in a battle of wits with a victim that he begrudgingly comes to respect and admire, Hassie Harrison’s American surfer Zephyr. Trapped on the boat miles from shore, Zephyr must work against the clock to free herself before Tucker loses his fascination and patience with her. Dangerous Animals, which received its Austin premiere at Volente Beach Resort and Waterpark, opened June 4 in theaters. Dallas native Hassie Harrison, who is married to her Yellowstone costar Ryan Bingham, also starred in the TV comedy series Tacoma FD and the films Quasi and the Austin-shot The Iron Orchard. Australian filmmaker Sean Byrne previously directed the 2009 teen horror film The Loved Ones and the 2015 Austin-shot supernatural chiller The Devil’s Candy.
