"Damsel of the Doomed"
![]() Scarah, Damsel of the Doomed is no longer content with hosting horror films—she now wants to star in horror films. The creation of Austin-based filmmakers, musicians, and professional Halloween fright fiends Sarah Webb and Corey Trahan, the horror host with the bloody tear-stained cheeks makes her feature-length film debut in the Austin-shot Damsel of the Doomed. In this supernatural chiller, a talent manager makes Scarah, Damsel of the Doomed (Webb) an offer she cannot refuse: sign with him and her days of hosting horror films at Doc's Drive In Theatre in Buda will be over. All Scarah needs to do is write her hopes and ambitions in a magic journal in order to manifest the future she desire. With a few pen strokes, Scarah is hosting horror conventions, doing photo shoots, and planning to make her own movie. But Scarah—herself a daughter of a witch—quickly realizes that there is a price to pay when dabbling with dark magic. Directed by Corey Trahan, and written by star Sarah Webb, Damsel of the Doomed will screen at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 13 during the Austin Revolution Film Festival at the Hilton Austin Airport. Sarah Webb’s Scarah initially appeared in YouTube posts and music videos for Webb and Corey Trahan’s black metal The Immortalz before transitioning to the short films The Witch’s Bargain and Basic Witch. Damsel of the Doomed was initially paired with the Scarah-hosted The Black Quarry of the Corey Trahan-directed horror anthology Tales of the Doomed before both were split as separate films. The short feature Black Quarry, which focuses on the efforts of the black metal singer to summon the demonic Beast of the Sea destroy the world, is forthcoming on DVD. As Scarah, Webb serves as the Buda-based Halloween haunt Bat City Scareground, which Corey Trahan owns and operates in Buda. She also hosts the Scarah’s Scream Theatre film series at Doc's Drive In Theatre in Buda, with Bram Stoker’s Dracula scheduled for 7 p.m. Feb. 6. Aired: Jan. 29, 2025.
